Basic anonymous user scenarios

Registration/Sign up

  1. Register (i.e. create user)

    1. Go to homepage

    2. Click on Sign Up link

    3. Fill the form

    4. Accept Privacy agreement

    5. Click on Sign Up button below the form

  2. Try to Log In without clicking on activation link (should fail) Before clicking on activation link in email, the account is disabled. Try to log in. Client should show an error message with an explanation what happened.

  3. Click on activation link in the received email

    1. A page with text Account is now activated should be shown

  4. Try to Log In (should succeed)

Recover forgotten password

  1. Under the Log In form, click on Forgot your password? link

  2. Fill your email and press Recover

  3. You should receive an email with recover link

  4. Open the link from email and enter a new password

  5. Try to Log In with old password (should fail)

  6. Try to Log In with new password (should succeed)

Administration

You need to be logged in as user with Administrator privileges to perform these tasks.

Edit user (alt: Create user)

  1. Press Users from the left menu

  2. For creating a new user press Create User, for editing existing user press the edit icon in the row with that user

  3. Fill in the form in way you want

  4. Press Save button under the form

Delete user

  1. Press Users from the left menu

  2. Find user that you want to remove

  3. Press the recycle bin icon in the row with that user

  4. Modal window will pop-up, press Delete

Change organization settings

  1. Press Organization from the left menu

  2. Edit name of the organization and its ID respectively Newly created KMs will use this organization ID

  3. Press Save button

Data Stewardship

You need to be logged in as user with Data Steward (or higher) privileges to perform these tasks.

Import a Knowledge Model

You need to have some valid .km file to import to perform this task.

  1. Press Knowledge Models from the left menu

  2. Press Import button

  3. Drag & drop or select the file after pressing Choose file - some random invalid file

  4. You should get an error, because it is not valid file

  5. Repeat step 3 but with a valid .km file

  6. It should import and redirect to table with knowledge models

  7. Try to import the same file again, you will get error that the KM already exists

Create new a Knowledge Model from scratch and publish it

  1. Press KM Editor from the left menu

  2. Press Create button

  3. Fill in name and ID of the new knowledge model respectively

  4. Press Save button

  5. Change the name of the knowledge model

  6. (For example) Add chapter with two tags and two questions with your own texts:

    1. Under Tags, click on Add tag

      1. Enter name (e.g. Security or Legal), description, and pick a color

      2. Repeat the task at least once again

    2. Create a question using Add question, first question with options Yes, No, Not sure

      1. For Yes add follow-up question with String type

      2. For Not sure fill some advice

      3. Setup metrics for those two answers (for example, Yes can be 1 for Findability and No can be 0)

    3. Add some references for the first question (you can pick if URL, cross reference, or resource page)

    4. Second question with List of items type

      1. Change the desirability phase of the question

      2. Assign your defined tags using checkboxes

    5. Go back by pressing Done until you get to Save button.

    6. Press Save button when all changes are done.

  7. Press Publish in actions of your KM editor

  8. Fill in version and describe the changes you made

  9. Press Publish

Create customization of a Knowledge Model

  1. (Press KM Editor from the left menu)

  2. Press Create button

  3. Fill in name and ID of the new knowledge model respectively

  4. Select Parent Knowledge Model

    (the best is to select the one created in the previous scenario)

  5. Press Save button

  6. Edit existing chapter - change its text and add some new question, edit question, add reference, delete option

  7. Edit or delete an existing tag

  8. Add new chapter with question(s) of your choice

  9. Press Done button and then Save button when all changes are done

  10. Press Publish button in actions of your KM editor

  11. Fill in version and describe the changes you made

  12. Press Publish button

Update a Knowledge Model (new version)

  1. (Press “KM Editor” from the left menu)

  2. Find the row with editor for the KM used as parent in the previous scenario and click the edit icon in actions

  3. Add new chapter and edit existing chapter (e.g., add some follow-up question and expert)

  4. (Optional) Edit or delete an existing tag

  5. Press Done button and then Save button when all changes are done

  6. Press Publish button in actions of your KM editor

  7. Fill in new (higher) version and describe the changes you made

  8. Press Publish button

Migrate customization to newer version of a parent KM

  1. (Press KM Editor from the left menu)

  2. Find row with the customization you made, it should be marked as Outdated

  3. Press Upgrade button to enter migration tool

  4. Go through the migration steps by using Accept and Reject buttons

  5. After finishing, press Publish button

Export a Knowledge Model

  1. Press Knowledge Models from the left menu

  2. Select a KM of your choice and press View detail action

  3. For version of your choice, press Export button

  4. A .km file will be downloaded

Researcher - Questionnaire

You need to be logged in as user with Researcher (or higher) privileges to perform these tasks.

Create a new Questionnaire

  1. Press Questionnaires from the left menu

  2. Press Create button

  3. Fill in name and select a knowledge model that you want to use

  4. Toggle privacy of the questionnaire

  5. Pick tags to filter questions selected for the questionnaire

  6. The questionnaire with name should be visible in the table

Filling-in the Questionnaire

  1. (Press Questionnaires from the left menu)

  2. Press Fill questionnaire in actions of DS Planner of your choice

  3. Go through chapters and questions and fill in answers based on a project you are working on currently

  4. When done, press Save button

Exporting a filled Questionnaire

  1. (Press Questionnaires from the left menu)

  2. Press Export and select format you want to get

  3. Download should start, when it finishes open and explore the file
